Creating is living for me. When I think about it...it always has been. I have always been in love with and fueled by the process of creating.
From the shoebox of broken crayons I had as a very small child and the Kodak Ektalite film camera I got for Christmas when I was 10 to present, I have sought out ways of creating and documenting as a means to communicate with the world around me.
Over time my process has evolved to include a variety of mediums. I pretty much work with whatever I can get my hands on....photography, video, poetry, drawing, discarded and found objects, paint...whatever speaks to me and does the job. I find that when I don't limit myself to one medium that I am not limited in what I can say.
Most recently I have challenged myself to create something every day...no matter how small or in whatever form it takes shape. This experience has been truly liberating and inspiring.
Creating is not only what I do ...it is me. Creating = living.
